after getting an unexpected late start from dallas, the road was good to us. we didnt see much by way of scenery since it was dark but traffic was lite. like the dark and lite play on words? anyway, our first night was spent in the less than amazing and more than gross red roof inn located in jackson, mississippi. sticky carpet, damp sheets, non draining shower drain were some of the amenities. espn was a plus. we ended the evening in the morning. thanks to whataburger, our cholesterol was able to stay above the yellow line while we slept. judging by the number of sunglass cases in the photo, maui jim has already been so good to us.
